"I am pleased to send warm greetings to all those
gathered for the 38th Annual
Convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) as you celebrate
your
theme, "Islam: Strength through Diversity."
Our Nation's tradition of religious liberty and tolerance
for others is reflected
in the freedom and diversity that Americans enjoy in our communities.
Organizations
such as the ISNA help preserve and increase our deep respect for religious
freedom.
Through your educational outreach programs and inspirational services,
you uphold
your faith and Muslim traditions. I commend you for your commitment to
fostering
greater understanding of your heritage.
I also salute your organization for hosting an International
Business and Trade
Fair. This event offers your members and non-Muslim business leaders important
opportunities to meet and to share how to prosper in today's marketplace.
Growth
and expanded development of your businesses mean jobs for Americans.
Laura joins me in sending best wishes for a successful
convention."
Signed
George W. Bush
